Ironing operator — Guadalupe County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an ironing operator in Guadalupe County, Texas. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
