We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Part-time with flexible hours.
