Horizontal milling machine operator — Fulton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Fulton County, New York. You should have: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges On the job you will handle: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
