Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Rogers County, Oklahoma. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
