Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Putnam County, Missouri. The job is at a busy machine shop. On the job you will handle: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters Ideal candidate: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
