Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
