Brick mason — Shelby County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in Shelby County, Texas. The job is on a new-build development. Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
