Shakeout operator wanted in Wood County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Wood County, Ohio. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Day to day you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts.
