Foundry worker — Valley County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Valley County, Nebraska. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
