Semi-automatic welder — Macon County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Macon County, Missouri. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Ideal candidate: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
