Laundry presser — Sac County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a laundry presser in Sac County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Six days a week, one day off.
