Finish carpenter — Madison County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Madison County, Montana. The job is on a commercial fit-out site. You should have: • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings On a typical shift you will cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
