Sewing machine operator — Orange County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Orange County, Indiana. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching The role involves: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
