Sand plant operator — Winneshiek County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Winneshiek County, Iowa. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
