Pipe tig welder • Abeokuta North, Ogun State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Abeokuta North, Ogun State. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
