Groundworker — Hamilton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a groundworker in Hamilton County, Iowa. The role involves pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel. You should have: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
