Great opportunity: foundry operative (Jigawa State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Buji, Jigawa State. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Meals and transport allowance provided.
