Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Arthur County, Nebraska. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine.
