We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Clay County, Tennessee. The job is on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Full-time, day shift.
