Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Day to day you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Full-time with occasional weekends.
