Toolroom milling operator — Luce County

Join our team: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Luce County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Day to day you will carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery. What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
