Trainee butcher — Hillsdale County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Hillsdale County, Michigan. You will be based at a halal meat counter. The role involves run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required 1+ years on the tools preferred.
