Join our team: we are hiring a surface coating operator in Spencer County, Kentucky. You will work in a busy paint shop. On the job you will handle: • Mask off threads, holes and machined faces with caps and tape • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Set the electrostatic gun voltage (kV) and powder flow • Keep parts properly earthed so the powder transfers well • Hang components on jigs and conveyor hooks for even coverage Ideal candidate: • Able to operate electrostatic spray guns and curing ovens • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
