Steel fixing chargehand — Barbour County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Barbour County, West Virginia. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day-to-day duties: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
