Immediate opening: laundry presser (New York)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Oswego County, New York. You will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
