Immediate opening: punch press operator (Kansas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a punch press operator in Chautauqua County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; record output and downtime on the production sheet; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges. Requirements: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout 4+ years on the tools preferred.
