Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Haskell County, Oklahoma. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Part-time with flexible hours.
