Urgent requirement: we are hiring a hand presser in Lincoln County, Missouri. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Day-to-day duties: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
