Immediate opening: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Lewis County, Tennessee. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts On the job you will handle: • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger 4+ years on the tools preferred.
