Construction helper — Giles County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction helper in Giles County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times On the job you will handle: • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction Full-time with occasional weekends.
