Car painter — Macon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a car painter in Macon County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting; prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
