Gang bricklayer — Spencer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Spencer County, Indiana. The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
