Great opportunity: we are hiring a presser in Trigg County, Kentucky. You will be based at a garment factory. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases The role involves: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Full-time, day shift.
