Immediate opening: offshore rigger (Rivers State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Omumma, Rivers State. You will be based on a high-rise building site. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio ₦140,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
