Precision welder — Howard County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Howard County, Iowa. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp 3+ years on the tools preferred.
