Vacancy available: CO2 welder (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. The role involves read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
