Immediate opening: presser (Georgia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in Lowndes County, Georgia. The job is in a busy laundry. The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Give each garment a final press before packing Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
