Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Adams County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
