Sand plant operator — Tillamook County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Tillamook County, Oregon. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
