Cold room technician — Lehigh County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cold room technician in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. You will work in a commercial cold storage facility. What we are looking for: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade The role involves: • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays 1+ years on the tools preferred. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
