Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Hooker County, Nebraska. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
