You should have: • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop The role involves shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray.
