Packaging machine operator — City of Roanoke

Join our team: we are hiring a packaging machine operator in City of Roanoke, Virginia. You will follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; set up and start the machine as per the job card; change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
