Argon welder — Northampton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Northampton County, Virginia. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $26 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
