Urgent requirement: we are hiring a confectioner in Roanoke County, Virginia. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. Requirements: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics The role involves: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing 2+ years on the tools preferred.
