Falsework carpenter • Perry County, Illinois

Immediate opening: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Perry County, Illinois. The job is on a bridge and flyover project. Your main tasks: • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss What we are looking for: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
