Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in DeKalb County, Tennessee. You will be based in a garment export house. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work You will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
