Plant operator — Jackson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator in Jackson County, Florida. You will work in an open-cast mine. On a typical shift you will carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; check for underground cables and services before digging; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery 6+ years on the tools preferred.
