Join our team: we are hiring an elevator technician in Hockley County, Texas. You will be based in a residential tower block. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Day to day you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; run load and overload tests with test weights; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
