Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Gillespie County, Texas. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
